Opti CANSail 1
Opti CANSail 1 is an introductory sailing program for sailors between 8 - 10 years old. KYC follows Sail Canada's CANSail 1 standard. Sailors in this program learn basic boat maneuvers and sail trim through a variety of interactive land and water lessons, nautical games, and on-water coaching. Sailors will become familiar with sailboats and gain confidence on and around the water. At this level, sailors sail with a partner so each sailor can focus on one task at a time. Sailors are encouraged to participate in camp-wide games and activities, such as our legendary Cedar Island Day.
